01 — Problem
A fiber-extrusion device has to hold its extruded diameter precisely while spooler speed and hotend temperature drift — manual tuning can't keep up.
02 — Approach
I modeled the subsystems in MATLAB and built a master/slave cascade architecture that automatically coordinates spooler speed and hotend temperature to regulate diameter, deployed on Arduino with a Python monitoring GUI.
