01 — Problem
The FrED Factory needed a digital twin of its manufacturing line, but no accurate 3D model of the lab existed — without one, there was nothing to build the twin from.
02 — Approach
I modeled the entire laboratory in SolidWorks — all stations and units in the room — and assembled them into one realistic general assembly, so the team could carry the files into Siemens Process Simulate and generate the actual digital twin of the manufacturing line.
03 — Result
Digitalizing the FrED Factory starts with geometry: a faithful SolidWorks model of the whole lab, assembled into a single realistic layout that the team used to generate the manufacturing line’s digital twin in Siemens Process Simulate.
